Plaxx Shipping Policy
We have all seen it. We spend our time shopping on the
web for the best price. We use price comparison engines
and they point us to the least expensive sites, right?
NO! They point us to the site that has the lowest advertised
price on a specific item - NOT INCLUDING SHIPPING. How
many times have you gone to a site to buy a physically
small item such as a software package at the lowest advertised
price only to find out that shipping on this one pound
package costs $35 or more. That's not shipping - that's
hidden profit.
WE DO NOT MAKE PROFIT ON SHIPPING!
WHAT IS THE REAL COST OF SHIPPING
The ACTUAL shipping cost for the products you order from
us are composed of the following;
- The current list shipping fee charged by the shipper.
This is based on weight, volume, destination zip code
and type of shipping service requested. We can not control
this cost - it is set by the shipping companies. Insurance
is always included
in shipping costs.
Shipping companies use what they call 'Dimensional
Weight' as opposed to actual weight for larger packages
(This included most of our trophies). This is calculated
as the length X width x Height /194. What this means
is that a 10 pound trophy, packaged in a 15 by 15 by
30 carton will have shipping costs as though it is 35
pounds.
Shippers charge an additional fee when delivering to
a residential address - even a residential business address.
- A per carton cost that includes the cost of packaging
materials including such items as; the carton(s), Styrofoam
'peanuts', plastic bags, sealing tape, bubble wrap, etc.
and the labor used to package this carton. Our current
charge for this is $4.00 per carton.
- A per shipping address cost that covers the labor to
enter the shipping information into the shippers shipping
system. Our current charge for this is $1.50.
C.O.D.
We do not accept COD orders.
GROUND TRANSIT TIME MAP
The shipper guarantees the day of delivery for packages
shipped to any commercial address in the 48 contiguous
states.
Delivery times to residential addresses are NOT GUARANTEED.
If you need a guaranteed delivery date, we recommend express
shipping. We will ship our product as you direct. Since
we can not control the shipper, we provide
NO REFUND of product costs if the shipper fails to deliver
as they promise.

SHIPPING PROBLEMS (BREAKAGE)
Our products are packaged in 'bubble wrap', 'stretch wrap',
'peanuts', and cartons within cartons depending upon their
susceptibility to damage. The packages are also shipped
'INSURED" by the carrier. In spite of all these
precautions, an item can be
damaged in shipment. Since the package was shipped 'F.O.B.
our facility' and the carrier is the insurer, it is your
responsibility to call the carrier and advise them of the
damage. Do not call
us first as this will delay the claim process. If you accepted
the package and upon opening it, find damage, call the
carrier and advise them of 'concealed damage'. After this
is done, please call us and advise us of the problem. We
will
work
with the carrier in expediting your claim and we will work
with you in replacing your product or providing a refund.
We can not provide a refund until you have complied with
the shippers requests to examine the damaged package. REMEMBER, YOU MUST CALL THE CARRIER TO SET UP A PICK UP APPOINTMENT. WE DO NOT KNOW YOUR SCHEDULE.
